Upgrade Notes: 1.x -> 2.x

The Rotor Banner module went through some fairly major changes from version 1.x to version 2.x internally, and for end users. The main changes are listed below:

• Powered by Views
• Rotate through any node type (not just Rotor Item nodes)
• Multiple rotor blocks
• Per rotor block configuration
• Ajax image uploads (AHAH)
• Configurable tab position (above or below)

For end users, the main difference is the way the Rotor Blocks are configured. In Rotor1, there was only 1 Rotor block, with a single configuration page at Site Configuration -> Rotor Banner (admin/settings/rotor). Rotor2 however, is much more flexible and allows multiple Rotor blocks to be set up and configured independently from one another. The configuration for each Rotor Block is found within the Views configuration page for the View that provides the block. It may help to take a look at this page of the documentation, where there is more information about configuring Rotor blocks with Rotor2.
